Our labyrinth is experiencing a remake!

The original labyrinth was donated and constructed by the Gossett family as a tribute to their daughter Kaitlyn who passed away as a young child. A time of remembrance walk took place on Wednesday, June 17th.
Here are some photos of that event.

Bricks removed, sand brought in to level the area, and one border of the slab formed.

The concrete is finished! (June 26, 2026):

Now we have to let it cure 6-8 weeks. Once that is finished, we will paint the new labyrinth design.

A Guide to Walking a Labyrinth

One approach is taking a “three-fold” path. These stages are:

Stage One Palms Up

From the entrance of the labyrinth to the goal is the path of releasing or “letting go.”  It produces an opportunity for emptying oneself of worries and concerns.

Stage Two: Palms Down

At the center, the second stage, there is a     receiving illumination, insight, clarity, and  focus.  Here you will find you are in a receptive, prayerful, meditative state.

Stage Three: Palms Together

The third stage is one of renewing and one of integrating. Empowerment is often seen as a gift that comes at this point. The way out of the Labyrinth is becoming grounded and integrating the insight we have received. We are empowered to make what we received manifest in the world.

There are three stages but one path, and it is different for everyone.
